He/it makes a horrible attempt at a joke when you meet, and has no understanding of why his previous "audience" shut him off. My own attempt had the one droid as a failed comedian (turning to comedy after several instances of being told "you must be joking" and "you can't be serious"). I'm really impressed with the improvements made since the original M&B version. It may be that they all spawn in equal amounts and the weaker ones don't survive, but there should never be more top-tier deserters running around than there are of those troop types in the faction armies.įortunately, the last nightly patch fixed about 75% of the dialog issues that I worked on but lost, although the two droid companions still have placeholder dialog entries. Then there's the over-abundance of sizable groups of high-level deserters compared to other troop tiers (46 Novatroopers, or 38 Incinerators, while I've got a total of only 30-35 mid-tier troops and relatively low level companions). My own pet peeves include the total lack of ammo in the markets after the first few days of the game (they're placed at the start, but gradually vanish, and no new ammo ever spawns). I suspect that you're seeing a graphics card incompatibility issue. Having rolled into Early Access with the authority of hundreds of thousands of players behind it, a robust modding community behind Bannerlord might be just what the game needs to take it from pretty good to unforgettable as the first game was.As said, Swyter has kept the mod half-alive on life-support for the last couple of years, but it's mainly critical bug fixes, and whatever else he finds time to do between work on several other mods, such as Solid and Shade. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is by no means perfect, but it is arguably more of what players wanted out of the series after a long development cycle. That said, if you’ve already been through that song and dance, whether you did it in the first Mount & Blade, or you’re just starting a new save in Bannerlord, then the Just Let Me Play mod might be just what you need to move things along and get to the good stuff you’re playing for. It might be a little ill-advised to recommend this mod to new Mount & Blade players because the game certainly has a depth to learn and master as you become the best king and warlord you can be. Bannerlord's tutorials and story aren't without purpose, but those who know their way around it will likely appreciate a shortcut to the meat and potatoes of the game. In essence, it allows you to get to the spot where you have your own kingdom and all the tools you need to build it up and go about your merry conquest. It removed all of the prerequisite tutorial sections and story build up in Bannerlord besides two, which are rebuilding your clan and building up your kingdom. On April 8, 2020, via Nexus Mods, modder Fumble released a mod for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord called Just Let Me Play. If the narrative doesn’t suit you and you just want to get to the sandbox section of the game where you’re in control of a kingdom and can choose what you want to do, there’s already a mod available in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord just for you. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord has a lot to offer both new players and old fans, but if you’ve been along for the ride before, you probably know what you’re in for and what you want out of the game.
